UK’s Kinaxia Logistics acquires BC Transport

UK-based Kinaxia Logistics has acquired BC Transport business from administrators for an undisclosed sum.

Based in Bollington, BC Transport was established in 1964 and offers both general haulage and pallet network services.

The company’s haulage services include full load delivery, part load delivery, next day delivery, economy delivery and others.

BC Transport is a founder member of pallet network Palletforce, and will continue to work as a member of the network.

BC Transport is the ninth business acquired by Kinaxia, while other businesses include Bay Freight, William Kirk, NC Cammack, Foulger Transport, Lambert Brothers, Panic Transport, Maiden’s of Telford and Mark Thompson Transport.

Kinaxia Logistics director Peter Fields said: “We are delighted to welcome the team from BC Transport into Kinaxia, and as a fellow Macclesfield based business, we are pleased to have been able to save the jobs of the local workforce.”

Palletforce CEO, Michael Conroy said: “The addition of BC Transport to Kinaxia will enhance their business infrastructure and capabilities. It also safeguards the jobs and skill sets of a very experienced and talented workforce at BC Transport delivering highest quality Palletforce services to our growing membership base.”

Kinaxia is a group of businesses that offers haulage and warehouse services for the customers in the UK.

With a turnover of £104m per annum, Kinaxia operates 630 vehicles and owns 925,000 ft² of warehouse space.
