Yusen Logistics is set to open new logistics facility in southern Vietnam, as part of its efforts to expand its operations in the region.
The company has established a 12,000m² logistics facility within Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park 1(VSIP1) in Binh Duong province alongside Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam.
Slated to begin operations in November this year, the new logistics facility is around 18km from the center of Ho Chi Minh City and about 20 km from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, as well as around 30km from Cat Lai Port.
Yusen will use the new facility for different logistics applications such as inventory management, distribution processing and goods inspection in conjunction with ocean and air freight forwarding and domestic distribution services.
Yusen Logistics manages several logistics facilities across Vietnam, including central Da Nang City and southern Ho Chi Minh City.
In November 2014, the company opened 70,000m² warehouse in northern Hai Phong City to offer various services such as contract logistics, ocean and air freight forwarding, and cross border trucking service for Indochina.
In July this year, Yusen Logistics opened a new Thilawa logistics center in Myanmar.
Located at the Thilawa special economic zone (SEZ), the new facility includes an area of around 6,300m², as well as temperature-controlled storage areas offering four temperature settings of -20°C, 5°C, 15–20°C and room temperature.
In addition, the facility includes an assembled vehicles yard area to carry out logistics services related to assembled vehicles such as vehicle storage, pre-delivery inspections, and customs procedures.
